The Legends in Africa

The Legends of Basketball New York Chapter recently traveled to Bamako, Mali, in West Africa, led by Hall of Famer Nate Archibald, for a four-day basketball clinic that brought together more than 300 boys and girls from the local community. The team visited four schools, hosting group training sessions and one-on-one mentorship experiences while providing essential resources, including shoes, backpacks, school supplies, basketball equipment, clothing, and athletic gear for youth participants. Beyond basketball, the trip focused on encouragement, connection, and creating opportunity through the power of sport. The chapter looks forward to returning to continue building relationships and expanding its impact in the region.
